Former W. Golfers Earn Exempt Status for LPGA Tour

Three former University of Florida golfers earned exempt status for the 2004 LPGA Tour Friday at the LPGA Qualifying School. Three former Lady Gators also earned non-exempt conditional status for the Tour.
Laurie Rinker was one of the top 28 finishers who were awarded exempt status for the Tour. Rinker was the highest former Lady Gator finisher, as she placed fourth with a four-under par score of 281 (70-72- 65-74).
Lisa Hall carded a five-under par score of 283 (70-74-71-68) to finish in 12th place.
Riko Higashio won exempt status in a three-hole playoff. Higashio finished 22nd with a three-under par score of 285 (73-68-74- 70).
Jean-Marie Busuttil, Karen Davies and Michele Vinieratos earned non-exempt conditional status for the 2004 Tour.
