Forty-Seven UF Student-Athletes Set To Graduate

Forty seven student-athletes will be among the University of Florida students taking part in the commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 3.
The Gator football team leads the way with eight seniors earning their degrees this weekend. Women's track and baseball each follow with six respectively. The softball and gymnastic teams each have four graduating, while men's basketball, women's golf, men's golf, women's tennis and men's tennis each have two taking part this weekend. In addition, the volleyball, men's swimming, women's basketball, men's track and soccer each have one student-athlete graduating on Saturday.
Among the 47 student-athletes graduating is former women's tennis standout Nicole Arendt. After completing her four years of eligibility, Arendt joined the Women's Tennis Association in 1991. Arendt completed her final three classes this semester and will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in public relations.
Eight members of various support staffs for several Gator teams will also take part in graduation this week as well.
Commencement ceremonies will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
