The University of Florida women's tennis team completed Saturday's action at the University of Miami Fall Classic collecting singles victories from sophomore Nina Suvak and freshman Alex Liles versus their respective foes from Florida International.
Junior Boglarka Berecz, the only other Gator participating in the event at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center, dropped her singles match to FIU's Paula Zabala in super tiebreaker result 6-7, 6-4, 1-0 (10-2).
Suvak polished off Shilla D'Armas 6-0, 6-4, while Liles topped Egle Petrauskaite 7-6, 6-2. The morning session featured just one doubles match, but the Gator tandem of Berecz and Liles fell to Miami's 28th-ranked duo of Megan Bradley and Audrey Banada.
UF returns to the court on Sunday for the final day of play at the UM Fall Classic. One Gator doubles team will play a team from Vanderbilt, with all three UF student-athletes battling Commodores on the singles court.
