The University of Florida football team will face either Virginia Tech or Miami in the 2004 Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN on December 31, 2004 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga. The Gators will be making their 14th-straight bowl appearance to extend their current school record, which ranks second in the SEC.
"We are very excited about the invitation to play in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl," said UF Athletics Director Jeremy Foley. "The city of Atlanta has always been a special place for Gator fans and we are looking forward to a great week of hospitality."
"Florida earned their way into our game by the way their team finished the season on such a high note," said Gary Stokan, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl president. "They're playing great football right now and a match-up with top 10 Miami or Virginia Tech will certainly create a sold out atmosphere."

The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl is the only guaranteed match-up of top-ranked teams from the ACC and SEC and is recognized as the most competitive bowl game in college football history. On Jan. 2, 2004, the Bowl's 36th annual game set records for Georgia Dome attendance (75,125), per team payout ($2.2 million) and charitable and scholarship contributions ($407,000).
