In an effort to thank Gator fans for their support, the University of Florida will hold Football Fan Appreciation Day on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. UF supporters will have a chance to tour many of the areas of the stadium which were included as part of the latest renovation and expansion project that was completed prior to the 2003 season. Admission is free and doors will be open from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
The open house format will give fans the ability to tour Ben Hill Griffin Stadium Skyboxes as well as the Press and Champions Club levels, which doubled in size as part of the project. They also will have an opportunity to recall classic moments in UF football history in the "Oh My! Make Your Best Call" interactive booth. Festivities also will include performances by Jodini the Magician, inflatable games, face painting and photos in Gator football uniforms.
Every fan who enters will receive a commemorative postcard and ticket to Florida's women's basketball game as the 20th-ranked Gators take on No. 16 LSU at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the O'Connell Center.
