The third-ranked University of Florida women's tennis team continued to roll, posting its 29th consecutive victory with Friday's 7-0 win over Auburn at the Luther Young Tennis Complex.

With the win, the Gators improved to 12-0 this season and 27-0 all-time against the Tigers. UF also is 5-0 in the Southeastern Conference, while Auburn falls to 6-6 overall and 1-4 in league action.

The highlight of the evening was the play of Florida's No. 2 doubles of team Jennifer Magley and Zerene Reyes, who raced past Liz Sauerborn and Sarah Suitor 8-1 to capture the first match of the day.

"Jennifer and Zerene played almost flawless tennis today," UF head coach Roland Thornqvist said. "They have really stepped up their play the last few weeks and are playing impressive doubles together."

Magley and Reyes began the strong showing for the Gators, who posted individual victories at all nine matches to record their ninth complete sweep of the season.

Logging singles victories for Florida were Alexis Gordon, Magley, Reyes, Boglarka Berecz, Lindsay Dawaf and Nina Suvak. Senior Julie Rotondi paired with Gordon at the No. 1 doubles spot to join in on the impressive play.

Florida concludes its four-match road swing on Sunday, when the team travels to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama at the Varsity Courts.
