W-Tennis Completes Run at NCAA Singles Championships

University of Florida junior Alexis Gordon (Windsor, Conn.) and sophomore Jennifer Magley (Bradenton, Fla.) lost their respective matches Wednesday afternoon at the NCAA Singles Championships in the round of 16.
Gordon, the No. 5 seed, dropped a hard-fought 7-5, 6-2 decision to Vanderbilt's No. 9-16 seeded Audra Falk, while Magley's run ended against sixth-seeded Megan Bradley from Miami 6-2, 7-5.
Both earn All-America honors in singles by reaching the round of 16. It is the second consecutive year Gordon has earned the award and the first time for Magley, who has compiled a 69-14 career record in two seasons, including a team-best 35-6 mark this season. Gordon ends her junior year with a 26-6 singles record and has logged a 104-20 career mark on the court.
