Former Men's Golfer Chris DiMarco Named to Ryder Cup Team

Former University of Florida men's golfer, Chris DiMarco was named by team captain Hal Sutton to the 2004 United States Ryder Cup team.
DiMarco will make his first career Ryder Cup appearance and becomes the seventh Gator golfer to ever play in the event. While at Florida, DiMarco was a three-time All-American who captured the 1989 SEC Individual Championship and was named the 1990 SEC Player of the Year.
Joining DiMarco on the 2004 Ryder Cup team will be Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Davis Love III, Jim Furyk, Kenny Perry, David Toms, Chad Campbell, Fred Funk, Chris Riley, Jay Haas and Stewart Cink.
Former Florida golfers with Ryder Cup experience include Tommy Aaron (1969 and 1973), Andy Bean (1979 and 1987), Mark Calcavecchia (1987, 1989, 1991 and 2002), Ken Green (1989), Bob Murphy (1975) and Andy North (1985).
The 2004 Ryder Cup begins September 14 and continues through September 19 at Oak Hill in Bloomfield Hills, Mich..
