Florida's 13th-ranked Jennifer Magley and Zerene Reyes returned to the top of the lineup where they picked up an 8-4 win over FIU's 31st-ranked Egle Petrauskaite and Desanka Jovanic. The UF duo won their match in 42 minutes. Five minutes later, FIU forced the issue to be decided on court three when Paula Zabala and Nikkita Fountain defeated UF's Whitney Benik and Boglarka Berecz on court two, 8-3. However, Florida's Alex Liles and Nina Suvak used the same score for a win over Cortney Jonson and Brua Discordia at the bottom of the lineup to wrap up the point in under an hour.

Benik moved to 2-0 against dual match opponents as she won her second straight on court five over FIU's Discordia, 6-2, 6-1. UF's 11th-ranked Jennifer Magley also won in straight sets as she defeated Zabala on the top court, 6-1, 6-1. Suvak used the same score on court four to provide the clincher for UF over Jovanovic, while Liles increased the team score to 5-0 with a 6-0, 7-5 victory over Fountain one court lower in the line up.

With matches still in play at 3:45 p.m. a light rain began to fall on the courts and play was stopped.

Florida will not return to the courts for over two weeks as the Gators next travel to Tallahassee, Fla. to take on the Seminoles at 5 p.m.
