Five Womens Track and Field Pole Vaulters Compete at USF Invitational
Friday, April 1, 2005 | Women's Track and Field
Five University of Florida women's pole vaulters traveled to Tampa, Fla. Friday to compete in the USF Invitational. Though none reached the NCAA regional qualifying mark of 3.80m/12-05.50, the trip served as a valuable experience as the five athletes battled windy conditions much of the afternoon.
Juniors Dara Altman (Tampa, Fla) and Amy Carr (Palm Coast, Fla.) led the group both posting a season best mark of 3.66m/12-0. Senior Chandra Lacombe (Winter Haven, Fla.), sophomore Dana Van Wagner (Sparr, Fla.) and freshman Natalie Moser (Tampa, Fla) each finished Friday at 3.50m/11-05.75.
The women's track and field team returns to action May 9 in Oxford, Miss. at the Ole Miss Invitational.
