Nine Women's Track and Field Athletes Set to Graduate
Wednesday, April 27, 2005 | Women's Track and Field
Nine members of the third ranked University of Florida women's track and field team will graduate this weekend in Gainesville. Eight will be receiving undergraduate degrees while Chelo Canino will be collecting a masters degree after just one year on campus.
The eight undergraduates who will receive degrees this weekend will not leave Gainesville empty handed. The group boasts three Southeastern Conference Championships (two indoor, one outdoor) and five top-five finishes at NCAA Championship events.
Among the group is one collegiate record holder, and two All-Americans. Four, Canino, Chandra Lacombe, Krystle Moss, and Candice Scott have already hit NCAA regional qualifying marks this season and Scott has achieved the standard in two events.
