A slew of former Gator All-American track and field standouts competed during the weekend and wrapped up competition at the Central American and Caribbean Senior Championships held in the Bahamas on Monday.
Former All-American Candice Scott broke the meet record in winning the hammer throw, while All-Americans Tiandra Ponteen (400m), Andrea Bliss (100m hurdles) and Aaron Armstrong (200m) posted runner-up finishes to lead the pack of former Gators.
A native of St. Kitts, Ponteen recorded the competition's second-best 400m time of 51.41, her third-best time of the year in the event, and finished just behind 2004 Olympic champion Tonique Darling (50.97) on Sunday.
