Former Gator Lisa Raymond Marches into U.S. Open Doubles Semifinals

Former University of Florida women's tennis star Lisa Raymond advanced to the semifinals of the U.S. Open women's doubles draw.
Raymond, who is paired with Samantha Stosur (AUS) as the No. 6 seed in the 64-team event, upset the top-seeded team of Cara Black (ZIM) and Rennae Stubbs (AUS) 5-7, 6-4, 6-4. Next up for the former Gator great is the third-seeded tandem of Conchita Martinez (ESP) and Virginia Ruano Pascual (ESP).
Raymond, the 1992 and 1993 NCAA Singles champion, has captured seven professional Grand Slam titles, including the 2001 U.S. Open Women's Doubles crown and the 2002 U.S. Open Mixed Doubles championship.
