T&F Hosts Third Meet of Year At Pepsi Invitational On Sunday

The No. 10 University of Florida men's track and field team returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 5 when the Gators host the Pepsi Invitational at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
Florida will welcome No. 3 Florida State and No. 17 Auburn to the meet among other teams as the Gators are hosting their third indoor meet of the season. The event is one of only two remaining before Florida hosts the 2006 Southeastern Conference Indoor Championships Feb. 24-26.
With four meets left before the NCAA Indoor Championships, the Gators have secured one automatic qualifying mark and a pair of provisionals. Junior All-American Mike Morrison (Willingboro, N.J.) leads the way with an automatic mark in the high jump and a provisional in the long jump, while senior All-American Shane Stoup (Highland, Md.) has a provisional in the mile.
The women's 5,000m will be the first event on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. with the men's 4x400m relay to wrap the meet up at 6 p.m. The first 200 fans in attendance on Sunday will receive free stopwatches. Admittance is free.
