The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), the oldest and largest collegiate licensing agency in the nation, and the University of Florida are proud to announce College Colors Day 2006. This year's annual nationwide celebration is scheduled for Friday, September 1.
College Colors Day, which coincides with both “back to campus” and the kick-off of intercollegiate athletics, strives to promote higher education through increased public awareness and celebrates the achievements of colleges and universities, acknowledging their critical and fundamental importance to the United States.
“College Colors Day is gradually becoming a customary dress-down day for the companies and organizations across the country – a casual Friday to start the Labor Day holiday weekend,” said Kit Walsh, senior vice president of marketing for CLC. With the participation of more than 400 companies and the support of all CLC member institutions, College Colors Day 2005 was a tremendous success; we anticipate 2006 to be even bigger.”
Companies or organizations that wish to participate in College Colors Day will be recognized under the “Partners” section of the College Colors Day web site at http://www.collegecolorsday.com/.
