Freeman Memorial (Day 2 of 3)
W-Tennis Matches Postponed at Freeman Memorial Due to Weather
Sunday, January 14, 2007 | Women's Tennis
Despite sunny skies, Las Vegas temperatures refused to get out of the 30s on Saturday, which affected action for a second day at the Freeman Memorial Women's Tennis Championships at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
Florida was part of half of the field choosing to sit out because of the cold conditions.
With forecasts putting Sunday's temperatures in the mid-40s, the teams will attempt to play at least the first round of the singles draw beginning at 2 p.m. ET (11 a.m. PT).
The frigid temperatures also played havoc with Friday's matches, when only one round of the Flight 1 doubles draw was played. Four Gators are slated to compete in Sunday's singles action.
