Tebow has a 3.76 GPA while majoring in Family, Youth and Community Service at Florida. The sophomore signal-caller has earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week honors twice this year following his efforts against Ole Miss and Troy. He was recently named as a semifinalist for the Maxwell and Davey O'Brien awards.
The Gators' quarterback has been responsible for 35 touchdowns this year, 21 through the air and a school-record 14 on the ground. Tebow has rushed for a touchdown in 10 straight games dating back to the Tostitos BCS National Championship Game and leads the SEC in rushing touchdowns.
His latest effort in the win against Vanderbilt Nov. 3 included a career- best 22 completions on 27 attempts and he set the SEC single-season rushing touchdown record for a quarterback. Tebow accounted for five touchdowns against the Commodores' 14th-ranked defense.
Tebow leads Florida in rushing with 598 yards on 144 carries for a 4.2 average. In addition, he already has the most yards rushing by a Florida quarterback in a career with 1,067 yards. The Gators will face South Carolina this weekend in Columbia at 7:45 p.m. on ESPN.
