Cross Country Runs to Auburn

The University of Florida cross country teams continue the 2007 season this weekend as they travel to Auburn, Ala. for the second meet of the season. The Gators run Saturday at the Indian Pines Golf Course with the women's 5K race beginning at 10:30 a.m. (ET), followed by the men's 8K race at 11:15 a.m. (ET).
Running for the Florida women this weekend will be freshmen Ali Crabb, Laura Garrow, Rebecca Lowe, Hailey Neal and Kaitlin Shiver; sophomore Julie Northrup; juniors Devin Gapstur, Kathryn Kramer, Jacy Kruzel and Sara Petrick and seniors Kristen Johnson and Lindsay Sundell. Freshmen Anthony Morales, Andrew Revelle and Alex Wills; sophomores Sean Blaney, Matt Hensley, Aaron Kindt and Justin Taylor; juniors Jeremy Criscione and Al Matheny; and seniors Jose Garcia, Jeremy Miller and Enoch Nadler will run for the Gator men.
Other teams competing in the meet include Alabama State, Alabama-Huntsville, Anderson, Auburn, Austin Peay, Columbus State, Davidson (women only), Georgia Southern (women only), No. 14 Iowa (women only), Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, LSU, North Georgia, Samford, Spartanburg Methodist, Troy, Tulane (women only), UL-Monroe and West Georgia.
The Florida women are currently No. 30 in the USFTCCCA Poll, while the men are receiving votes.
This is the first meet the Gators will run this season that counts toward points to secure an at-large bid t o the NCAA Championships if necessary. It is also the first time since 2003 the Gators have competed at another conference school during the regular season.
