Frangulyan Captures Singles Title at W-Tennis Freeman Memorial

The University of Florida's Lolita Frangulyan captured the second singles title of her collegiate career after dominating Arizona State's Jessica Leitch, 6-1, 6-2 in the championship match of the Flight Two singles draw at the Freeman Memorial Tennis Championships on Sunday.
The Gator senior almost played for a second title at the event on the UNLV campus, but she and teammate Anastasia Revzina fell short, 8-5, in their Flight One semifinals doubles match against North Carolina's Austin Smith and Katrina Tsang.
Frangulyan's other collegiate singles title came during her sophomore year, when she captured the Flight B draw of the Southeastern Conference Coaches Fall Classic.
The fourth-ranked Gators launch their 2008 dual match season on Wednesday, January 16, when they play host to Stetson at Linder Stadium at Ring Tennis Complex beginning at 3:30 p.m. Admission to all regular-season matches is free!
