No. 11/11 T&F Splits For Weekend Of Quality Competition

Ranked 11th on both the men's and women's sides, the University of Florida track & field team will split for competition this weekend, with the majority of squad venturing to Lexington, Ky., for the Rod McCravy Memorial. The Gators' multi-events specialists will make the trip to Nampa, Idaho, to compete at Boise State's United Heritage Invitational.
A deep and talented field of teams will assemble in Nutter Field House for the McCravy Memorial. The Gator men will square off with No. 2 Tennessee, No. 16 South Carolina, No. 21 Ohio State and No. 26 Georgia Tech, while the UF women are set to compete against second-ranked Tennessee, No. 3 Texas A&M, No. 10 South Carolina and No. 17 Georgia Tech.
Florida has piled up 20 event wins and 16 NCAA provisional marks in two outings this season, including 11 victories at last weekend's Tom Jones Memorial Classic. Sophomore Mariam Kevkhishvili (Tbilisi, Georgia) earned Southeastern Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors after winning the shot put at the TJMC with a personal-best toss of 16.82m/55-2.25.
Action will kick off in Nampa at 1 p.m. ET on Friday, while the McCravy Memorial will commence at 6 p.m. ET the same night with a lineup of field events. Live results from the University of Kentucky campus will be available via www.GatorZone.com.
