Assistant Coach Susie Gardner Met with the Media on Monday

With head coach Amanda Butler out of town, assistant coach Susie Gardner stepped in and addressed the media Monday morning as part of the Gator's All Sports Media Day.
Coach Gardner provided her assessment of the team's progression through its non-conference schedule and the team's preparation for the start of Southeastern Conference play, which gets underway Thursday, when the Gators travel to Lexington to face Kentucky.
She also discussed and fielded questions about communicating with Coach Butler during her time away from the team, on the improvement of the Gator defense, on the play of sophomore Sharielle Smith and on the start of the SEC season.
