Head Coach Becky Burleigh Met with the Media on Monday
Monday, October 20, 2008 | Soccer
University of Florida head coach Becky Burleigh addressed the media Monday morning as part of the Gators' All-Sports Media Day.
Coach Burleigh provided her assessment of the team's two road wins last week, when Florida topped Auburn (1-0) and Alabama (6-1).
She then previewed this week's unusual schedule, when the Gators host Arkansas on Thursday in the team's regular-season home finale, before traveling to Baton Rouge to play LSU on Sunday.
Coach Burleigh fielded questions about the possibility of clinching at least a share of the Southeastern Conference regular-season championship at home with a win over Arkansas. She also discussed the team's preparation for playing games on Thursday and Sunday instead of the usual Friday and Sunday schedule, as well as on the play and leadership of senior Megan Kerns, who netted her first collegiate hat-trick last week and was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts.
