Frequently Asked Questions
Which phones support GameTracker?
GameTracker is designed to support support Windows Mobile 5 and 6, Palm and BlackBerry smartphones. All other browser-capable phones are supported by the GameTracker WAP page.
What is the optimal environment to use the application?
In addition to meeting the minimum phone requirements listed in the previous question, the application is designed for phones with a portrait or landscape screen dimension of 240 pixels by 320 pixels. Elements of the application are not visible on phones with dimensions smaller than 240 pixels by 320 pixels.
After I download the application, where can I find it on my device?
Once the application has been downloaded, the GameTracker image will appear in the phone's application or program listing with a "GameTracker" caption.
Although I downloaded and installed the application, why won't it start?
GameTracker application requires a cell signal. If you are trying to start the application in an area with no coverage or poor coverage, the application may not start.
How does this application affect my phone data usage?
Any time the application is running, it is making data requests to update the application. Check with your phone carrier for more information about data plan rates and usage fees.
Why is my battery power draining faster than usual?
GameTracker is capable of operating in the background while other features on the phone are accessed. If the application is not properly exited, it will continue to communicate with local cell towers and drain battery power. On BlackBerry phones, the application can be exited by pressing the menu button and selecting "Close". On touch-screen phones, the application can be edited by selecting "Exit" from the menu drop-down box.
What do I do if my phone "locks-up"?
In rare cases, the application may temporarily "lock-up" or freeze the phone. If the phone's power button cannot be used to restart the phone, remove the battery from the phone, re-insert the battery and re-start the phone. Once the phone is restarted, it should begin to function normally.
Why has my phone stopped receiving e-mails?
In rare cases, the application prevents the phone from receiving e-mail. Remove and re-insert the battery and the phone will begin to receive missed e-mails.
How do I remove this application from my phone?
Each phone type supported by GameTracker uses a different method to remove applications. Check the owner's manual for your phone for instructions on the removal of applications.
Why doesn't my Blackberry display games?
AT&T and T-Mobile Blackberry phones connect to data services through service books on the device. If a service book on the phone is corrupt, it can prevent the GameTracker from retrieving scores. Check with your AT&T or T-Mobile phone rep on how to reset service books.
Why don't all of the games on GameTracker have scores?
GameTracker provides stats and scoring for CBS College Sports affiliated schools' home games. Road games at non-CBS College Sports schools may not display a score or be listed on GameTracker.
