Junior Lauren Hyde is part of the TopDrawerSoccer.com's National Team of the Season, the outlet released Nov. 13. She appears on the third team for the second consecutive season.
Hyde is averaging more than 87 minutes per match in Florida's last 19 matches and has played the entirety of 14 matches. The center back was limited in the first weekend of the season due to a preseason foot injury, causing her to miss the first match and start of her collegiate career.
She was named to the All-Southeastern Conference second team earlier this month. Hyde picked up National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-America third-team honors in 2007.
No. 2 regional seed Florida (17-3-1, 11-0) plays host to California (10-8-1, 3-5-1 Pac 10) in NCAA Championship opening round action on Friday, Nov. 14. Match time is set for 4 p.m. at the James G. Pressly Stadium. Following the Florida-Cal match, UCF faces Miami (Fla.) in the other first-round match. Friday's winners meet Sunday, Nov. 16 at 1 p.m. Tickets for Friday's match are $7.00 for adults and $3.00 for children 12 and under, senior citizens and students.
