Monday, November 24, 2008 | Soccer
University of Florida head coach Becky Burleigh addressed the media Monday morning as part of the Gators' All-Sports Media Day.
Coach Burleigh shared her assessment of the team's performance against Texas A&M in the NCAA Championship Round of 16, where the Gators ended their season with a 2-1 loss.
She then provided her thoughts on the 2008 season, when Florida captured the Southeastern Conference regular-season title and advanced to the NCAA Round of 16 for the third consecutive year.
Coach Burleigh also discussed and fielded questions about the pressure of playing in the NCAA Round of 16, on the youth of the team, on the frustrations about the season ending sooner than she would have liked and about the future of program with the number of young players who comprised this year's Gator squad.
