Ashlee Elliott Part of U.S. U-20 National Team's Four Nations Championship Team

University of Florida rising junior Ashlee Elliott (Corona, Calif.) was part of the U.S. Under-20 Women's National Team that posted a 3-0 record to claim the Four Nations tournament title in La Serena, Chile. Elliott appeared in each of the U.S. three matches of the tournament.
The U.S. U-20 team, under new head coach Tony DiCicco, opened the tournament with a 1-0 win over England on Feb. 11. Then the U.S. used two first half goals to take a 2-1 win over Norway on Feb. 13. The final match on Feb. 15 was a 5-1 U.S. victory over tournament host Chile.

The appearance in the Four Nations Tournament is part of continuing preparations for CONCACAF Qualifying for the 2008 FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup. The tour will provide some valuable acclimatization for the U-20s and give DiCicco his first look at the player pool under international game conditions.
Dates and venues for CONCACAF qualifying have yet to be set, but the eight-team tournament, which will send three teams to Chile, will feature Cuba, Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, Nicaragua and the USA.
