Women's Tennis Team Adds Match, Hosts Troy on February 7

The fifth-ranked University of Florida women's tennis team will play host to Troy University on Thursday, February 7 beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Linder Stadium at Ring Tennis Complex. Admission is FREE!
Thursday's match will replace the contest the Gators had scheduled against South Alabama. Rain forced the postponement of that match and the teams were unable to find a replacement date.
Florida (2-0) got its 2007-08 season off to an impressive start, earning 7-0 wins against Stetson and UCF to open the year.
Florida has won 58 consecutive regular season home matches (not including SEC Tournament or NCAA Championship) entering Thursday's match against Troy. The current streak is the second-longest of its kind in program history, trailing only the 71 in a row compiled from 1994-2001.
The Gators also enter Thursday's match against Troy sporting an overall 44-match home win streak. The last loss was a 4-3 decision on May 15, 2004 against Miami in the second round of the NCAA Championships. The current streak is the second-longest of its kind in program history, trailing only the 60 in a row compiled from 1994-97.
