Gator Baseball Announces Complete TV Schedule

The University of Florida baseball program and head coach Kevin O'Sullivan released its 2008 television schedule on Thursday. The Gators will have 11 games broadcast on their regional sports network partner, Sun Sports/FSN Florida, during the upcoming season. In addition, 19 contests will be carried on GatorVision Online, a live streaming video and audio service available through www.GatorZone.com.
UF's Southeastern Conference matchup versus Tennessee in Knoxville on April 5 is slated to be the "SEC's Game of the Week" and will air on Sun Sports throughout the state. The Gators' first television appearance of the season through the package will take place on March 16, when they host Auburn in the finale of the league's opening weekend series at McKethan Stadium.
Two days later, the first of the three regular-season matchups between Florida and Florida State will be featured on FSN Florida. The television schedule for O'Sullivan's club features six other contests against SEC competition, four at home and three on the road. Visits to Gainesville by LSU (March 30), Georgia (April 25 & 26) and Vanderbilt (May 17) will be aired, while the other league games are part of road trips to Ole Miss (March 21-22) and South Carolina (May 2). A non-conference matchup with Bethune-Cookman (May 7) will also be shown.
The GatorVision Online schedule will begin on opening night, Feb. 22, when Siena visits to raise the curtain on the 56-game regular season and usher in the O'Sullivan Era. Other opponents in the package for subscribers include Brown (March 7), Jacksonville (March 25), North Florida (April 8 & 9), Florida Gulf Coast (April 29 & 30) and USF (May 13)
Encounters with SEC rivals Auburn (March 14-15), LSU (March 28), Arkansas (April 11 & 13), Georgia (April 27) and two games of the final home series versus Vanderbilt (May 15-16) will be available too. Florida will kick off its 2008 campaign on Friday, Feb. 22, by hosting Siena at 6:30 p.m. Season-ticket information is available by calling the Gator ticket office at 1-800-34-GoUF.
