Swimming Wraps Up Last Chance Meet

Athens, Ga. – The University of Florida seventh ranked men and third ranked women's swimming and diving teams concluded their run at the Bulldog Invitational, Georgia's last chance meet for those looking to qualify for the NCAA Championships at the end of March.
Two men and one woman competed on the last day of the meet, Kyle Deery, Matthew Norton and Sarah Sykes each made an attempt at earning an automatic qualifying time for the NCAA Championships. Deery barely missed a provisional time in the 200-yard breaststroke, clocking in with a time of 2:01.73 in the preliminaries. Norton swam his way to a provisional time of 1:47.70 in the 200-yard butterfly, while Sykes touched the wall in 1:59.67 in the women's 200 breast for a provisional time.
Florida will now look ahead to the NCAA Championships, held in Columbus, Ohio from March 20-22 for the women and in Federal Way, Washington from March 27-29, for the men.
