Former University of Florida swimmer, Ryan Lochte, finished the Short Course World Championships off in style as he picked one more gold and two silver medals on the final day in Manchester, England.
Lochte, who broke the world record in the 100-meter individual medley yesterday during semi-finals, went on to break his own record in the final, touching the wall with a time of 51.15.
The former Gator also barely missed two more world records, finishing just .07 off the leader during the 200 back, touching second with a time of 1:47.91. Lochte's time was under world record time, but was just good enough for second place. He also swam as part of the 4x100 championship team that finished second. The team was under world record pace, but finished .09 seconds off the leader for second place.
Current Gators Brett Fraser and Bobby Walsh were also in action. Fraser touched in with a 19th place finish in the 200 back with a time of 2:00.17 while Walsh took 29th in the 200 fly with a time of 2:04.35.
The American team brought home the short course championship, finishing with more points than the rest of the field for 2008. Lochte finished with four world records.
