Florida head coach Jill Briles-Hinton was voted 2008 Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year, announced by the league office on Wednesday. In addition, four Lady Gators were honored by the SEC coaches.
In her 10th season as the head coach for the Lady Gators, Briles-Hinton led Florida to its first SEC Women's Golf Championship since 1995. She became the first Florida golf coach to receive SEC Coach of the Year honors since Mimi Ryan in 1984 and 1985 and has led the team to a No. 5 National Ranking.
Freshmen Jessica Yadloczky (Casselberry, Fla.) and Hannah Yun (Bradenton, Fla.) were both named to the SEC All-Freshman team, in addition to receiving first team All-SEC honors. On the verge of finishing her freshman season, Yadloczky ranks sixth among SEC competitors, owning a 73.83 stroke average this season. Her best finish came with a second place finish at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, where she shot a personal tournament best 3-over par 216.

With two second place finishes this season, Myers has placed tenth or higher on the leader board on six different occasions. Her two second place finishes came at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational and when she tied Yadloczky at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge.
