No. 8 Florida Men's Golf Takes On No. 11 Florida State In 36-Hole Match Sunday

The eighth-ranked University of Florida men's golf team continues its postseason preparations as the Gators take on No. 11 Florida State in a 36-hole match at 8 a.m. ET Sunday at the Glen Arven Country Club in Thomasville, Ga.
The teams will play 18 holes of stroke play that morning followed by another 18 holes of stroke play that afternoon. The Glen Arven Country Club will play to a par-72 and 6,500 yards.
Florida enters the weekend after finishing fourth out of 15 teams at the Hootie At Bulls Bay Invitational on March 25. The Gators moved up one spot to No. 8 in the latest Golf World/Nike Coaches Poll that was released on April 2.
Florida State is ranked 11th in the poll and owns a 2-1 mark against the Gators this season in tournament competition.
Three Florida players are ranked in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin Individual Index Top 35, including No. 26 junior Billy Horschel (Grant, Fla.), No. 29 senior Tyler Brown (Jacksonville, Fla.) and No. 32 senior Manuel Villegas (Medellin, Colombia).
The Gators compete at the Southeastern Conference Championship, April 18-20, at the Frederica Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Ga.
