Gator Soccer Players Receive Degrees Saturday

Three members of Florida's 2006 and 2007 Southeastern Conference championship soccer teams received their degrees this weekend. Seniors Bianca Gibbs Bentley, Shana Hudson and Shelley Lyle were among the 55 current and former University of Florida student-athletes that participated in spring commencement ceremonies this weekend. In addition, Nikita Waller, a member of the 2004 and 2005 Gator soccer teams, also received her degree.
The Gator football team has nine student-athletes who have completed their undergraduate education this semester, while the softball team has three. Six baseball players are graduating and five student-athletes from men's swimming and diving, men's track and field and women's track and field will each receive their degrees.
The women's swimming and diving team has four student-athletes graduating. The Southeastern Conference champion women's golf will have three walking across stage this weekend. Gymnastics, women's tennis, men's golf and volleyball each have two student-athletes participating in spring commencement. Men's basketball, men's tennis and women's basketball each have one individual who has officially completed their undergraduate degrees.
