Horschel selected to PING All-American Second Team

University of Florida golfer Billy Horschel (Grant, Fla.) was named to the PING All-American second team by the Golf Coaches Association of America while teammate Manuel Villegas (Medellin, Colombia) earned honorable mention recognition.
This is the third time that Horschel has been selected as an All-American, earning first-team honors during his freshman and sophomore years. Horschel ended the season on a good streak posting four consecutive top-10 finishes, including a sixth place finish at the NCAA Championships.
Horschel's play this season landed him a spot on the U.S. Palmer Cup team that will play this weekend in Glasgow, Scotland. The Ryder Cup-style match-play competition pits some of the top collegiate players from the U.S. and Europe against each other in the two day event.
Villegas earned All-American honors for the first time after finishing a successful four-year career as a Gator. He was the only Gator to play in every tournament this season and finished in the top ten three times, including a tie for third in the season opening Inverness Invitational last fall.
