UF Men's Hoops Game vs. Vols Picked For ESPN GameDay
Thursday, August 28, 2008 | Men's Basketball
The University of Florida men's basketball program will be a part of ESPN's GameDay broadcast for the fourth consecutive year, as Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville has been selected as the location for ESPN's Jan. 31 telecast prior to the Gators' showdown with Tennessee.
The game between the Gators and Volunteers will be broadcast on ESPN at 9 p.m.
It marks the second time Florida has been a part of GameDay on the road (2007 at Kentucky). The Gators are 3-0 in previous GameDay appearances, defeating Kentucky in Gainesville in 2006 and 2008, while winning at Rupp Arena against the Wildcats in 2007.
Florida's four appearances are tied with Kentucky for the most of any SEC school since ESPN began its Gameday coverage.
