Florida Women's Basketball Pre-Season Party in the Park

The 2008-2009 Florida Women's Basketball season is just around the corner! The Gators are coming off the greatest one-year turn-around in program history! Last season, new head coach Amanda Butler led the Gators back to post-season play. Now, Coach Butler returns for her second season and the Gators are hungry for more. Florida will be led by seniors Sha Brooks, Aneika Henry, Kim Critton, and All-SEC team member Marshae Dotson as they try to make it back to the NCAA Tournament.
In order to give the community a chance to get up close and personal with the 2008-2009 Florida Women's Basketball team, the Gators will be hosting the inaugural Pre-Season Party in the Park on Sunday, September 28th from 1-3 PM. This event will be held at the City of Gainesville's Westside Park located at the corner of NW 34th St. and NW 8th Avenue.The Pre-Season Party in the Park is free and open to the public. Activities will include:
- Meeting the team and coaching staff with your chance to get autographs!
- Inflatable bouncehouse and slide for kids 12 and under!
- Basketball skills clinic for kids 12 and under at 2:15 PM!
- Face-painting by members of the Women's College World Series participant Gator Softball team!
- Gator cheerleaders and mascots on-site for pictures!
Plus, the first 500 people that purchase a $5 meal coupon will be able to partake in a cookout with hamburgers, hot dogs, and more!
Season tickets are now on sale! Order yours by September 22nd and receive a free meal coupon for the Pre-Season Party in the Park! You can purchase your 2008-2009 season tickets at the Pre-Season Party in the Park for a discounted rate which will be available for this one day only! The discounted rates will be:

Children/Seniors - $5
