Gator Soccer Team Appears on Thursday's SEC Weekly on ESPNU

The University of Florida soccer team is part of a segment on the Thursday, Oct. 1 SEC Weekly show which airs on ESPNU at 4:30 p.m. ET.
The award-winning documentary film Darius Goes West: The Roll of His Life aired at UF's Phillips Center for the Performing Arts Center on Sept. 10. The film tells the story of then 15-year old Darius Weems (Athens, Ga.) as he and his friends head west in hopes of getting his wheelchair customized on MTV's “Pimp My Ride”. Weems was born with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, the most common fatal genetic disorder to affect children worldwide.
The Gator soccer team welcomed guests to Performing Arts Center, handing out programs and gift bags. The team joined the crowd in the Performing Arts Center to view the film. Weems took questions from the audience following the film.
