Florida Gymnastics Team No. 4 in Preseason Poll

The University of Florida gymnastics team is ranked No. 4 in the preseason poll released by GymInfo. This is the fourth consecutive year Florida has appeared among the top four teams in the preseason poll (2007: 3rd; 2008: 2nd, 2009: 3rd). Florida has been ranked in the preseason top 10 each year since the poll's inception in 1992.
Five-time defending NCAA champion Georgia holds the top spot with 13 first-place votes. Rounding out the preseason top five are No. 2 Utah, No. 3 Alabama and No. 5 UCLA.
Seven opponents Florida will face in the 2010 dual meet season appear in the poll, including six in the preseason top-10 selections. Florida opens the 2010 season at No. 9 Oklahoma on Jan. 7. The home season begins Friday, Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. when No. 8 Arkansas visits the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
