Yenser and Critton Earn Undergraduate Degrees This Weekend

Current Gator women's basketball senior Susan Yenser and 2009 senior class member Kim Critton are among the 30 University of Florida student-athletes who will be receiving their degrees in commencement ceremonies being held Friday afternoon and Saturday throughout the day at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center on the UF campus.
Yenser, who completed coursework for a bachelor's degree in Management, was accepted into UF's Information Systems & Operations Management (ISOM) program and begins work toward a master's degree in January of 2010. Yenser spent the summer of 2009 working in a retail management position at Sears, completing the required internship she needed en route to earning her undergraduate degree. Not only did the summer internship help peak Yenser's interest in the business world, she was offered a full-time job at the end of her experience.
Critton, who last year completed her eligibility, finished an internship required for her undergraduate degree during the 2009 fall.
Gator senior student-athletes earning their degrees following the completion of the fall semester will additionally be honored at a graduation luncheon Saturday at 11:15 a.m.
The Florida football team leads the way in number of December graduates, with 11 players set to receive degrees from UF. The Gator baseball, men's track and field and women's swimming and diving teams all have four student-athletes each taking part in commencement ceremonies. The Florida volleyball team boasts three graduates, while softball and women's basketball each have two participating in graduation.
