Gator Soccer Team Celebrates 2009 SEC Title

The University of Florida soccer team celebrated its 2009 Southeastern Conference title with its championship dinner held Monday evening on the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium's Champions deck.
The entire Gator team and coaching staff gathered for the event. Florida claimed the 2009 SEC title with its 8-1-2 record in league play. The title was the fourth consecutive for the Gator soccer team and the 10th in the program's 15-year history.

Florida's seniors consisting of Jessica Eicken, Caitlin Howard, Lauren Hyde, Angela Napolitano and Tricia Townsend were part of a SEC championship team each year of their Gator careers. They are the fourth Gator class to win four consecutive league titles, with the last being the 2001 class consisting of Keisha Bell, Karyn Hall, Andi Sellers, Whitney Singer, Jill Stevens and Abby Wambach.
