Gator Baseball Announces TV Schedule

The University of Florida baseball program and head coach Kevin O'Sullivan released its 2009 television schedule on Tuesday. The Gators will have 12 games broadcast on their regional sports network partner, Sun Sports/FSN Florida, during the upcoming season. In addition, 19 contests will be carried on GatorVision Online, a live streaming video and audio service available through www.GatorZone.com.
UF's Southeastern Conference matchups versus Vanderbilt in Nashville on April 4 and South Carolina in Gainesville on April 25 are each slated to be the "SEC's Game of the Week" and will air throughout the state. The Gators' first television appearance of the season through the package will take place on February 28, when they host Miami (Fla.) in the second game of the Sunshine State rivals' weekend series at McKethan Stadium.
The television schedule for O'Sullivan's club features nine other contests against SEC competition, five at home and four on the road. Visits to Gainesville by Tennessee (March 20), Alabama (March 28), South Carolina (April 25) and Kentucky (May 14 & 16) will be aired, while the other league games are part of road trips to Vanderbilt (April 3 & 4), Georgia (May 1) and LSU (May 9). Non-conference matchups with Florida State (March 31) and USF (April 22) will also be shown.
The GatorVision Online schedule will begin on opening night, Feb. 20, when Louisville visits to raise the curtain on the 56-game regular season. All three games of the series between the Gators and Cardinals will be carried on-line. Other opponents in the package for subscribers include Miami (February 27 & March 1), Florida Atlantic (March 4), Florida State (March 17), Stetson (April 1), UCF (April 8), Florida Gulf Coast (May 6) and Jacksonville (May 12)
Encounters with SEC rivals Tennessee (March 21 & 22), Alabama (March 27 & 29), Ole Miss (April 17 & 19) and South Carolina (April 24 & 26) will be available too. Fans can find more information about GatorVision Online by clicking on the GatorVision Online button at www.GatorZone.com.
Florida will kick off its 2009 campaign on Friday, Feb. 20, by hosting Louisville at 6:30 p.m. Season-ticket information is available by calling the Gator ticket office at 1-800-34-GoUF.
