UF heads to Statesboro for Chris Schenkel E-Z-Go Invitational

The No. 5 ranked Florida men's golf team heads to Statesboro, Ga., this weekend to participate in the 30th annual Chris Schenkel E-Z Go Invitational hosted by Georgia Southern at Forest Heights Country Club.
The elite field features six teams in the top 25 of the latest GolfWeek/Sagarin ratings, and 11 teams in the top 50. There are six individuals rated in the top 50 and 14 players in the top 100.
Florida is coming off a fourth-place finish at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship in Las Vegas. The Gators have finished inside the top five in five events this year.
Senior Billy Horschel (Grant, Fla.) and junior Tim McKenney (Scottsdale, Ariz.) have led the team all year and they will play at the top of the lineup again this weekend. Horschel leads the team with a 71.06 stroke average and McKenney has four top-five finishes this season.
Joining them at the Schenkel E-Z-Go will be senior Will Strickler (Charlottesville, Va.), junior Tyson Alexander (Gainesville, Fla.) and freshman Mu Hu (Shen Zhen, China).
