Softball's Nelson To Try Out for the 2009 USA Softball Women's National Team

University of Florida senior Stacey Nelson (Los Alamitos, Calif.) has accepted an invitation to the 2009 USA Softball Women's National Team Selection Camp in Chula Vista, Calif., from June 8-12. At the camp, Nelson will have the opportunity to compete for a roster spot on the USA Softball National Team.
Nelson, a two-time All-American and 2008 SEC Pitcher of the Year, is one of 27 athletes to have accepted a position at the camp, as announced by the Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA). A list of additional attendees will be announced at a later date.
The Selection Camp invitation adds to a growing list of honors for Stacey Nelson, who is also a finalist for USA Softball's Player of the Year Award and the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award. Nelson is currently tied for 12th all-time in the NCAA for career wins with 119, and holds 20 single-season or career pitching records at Florida.
