Student Football Ticket Lottery Registration Moves Exclusively Online
Wednesday, April 15, 2009 | Football
Registration for the University of Florida student football ticket lottery moves exclusively online for the first time and opens at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 20. Registration remains open until Friday, June 5, at 5 p.m., and results will be available no later than Friday, June 19.
Students will need to make sure the UF Registrar's Office has a valid email address on file in order to ensure the ability to log on to the registration system.
To complete lottery entry, students must pre-pay for the season tickets. All students who are not selected as winners of the lottery will receive a full refund to the credit card used to submit their entry. Refunds will be processed after the lottery has been administered.
The student lottery will have a classification system based on the number of UF credit hours earned, with those students who have earned 90 or more having the greatest chance of being a winner. However, there is no guarantee that every student within a classification category will be selected as a winner. Credits transferred from other schools do not count toward a student's lottery classification. Because the lottery is a random selection, no advantage is gained by registering early.
While students do not need to be currently registered for fall classes to enter the lottery, students must be registered for a minimum amount of credit hours by the time they pick up the tickets in the fall. The minimum requirements are 12 credit hours for undergraduate students and six hours for graduate students. Students who do not meet this criterion should not register for the ticket lottery.
Newly admitted students who will be starting in the fall will not be able to log in until their information is on file with the Gator Ticket Office, which will not be until registration starts on April 20.
