Two Gator Soccer Players Receive Degrees at Spring Commencement

Gator soccer players Liz Ruberry and Tricia Townsend, members of Florida's 2006, 2007 and 2008 Southeastern Conference championship soccer teams, received their undergraduate degrees this weekend. They were among the 47 current and former University of Florida student-athletes that participated in spring commencement ceremonies this weekend.
Ruberry earned her degree in health education and behavior. Townsend received her degree in marketing after three years. She will begin pursuit of a graduate degree in international business when Townsend plays her final season at UF in the fall of 2009.
Eight members of the UF women's track & field team received degrees this weekend. Gator football saw seven current and former members graduate this weekend. Men's track & field, men's swimming & diving and women's swimming & diving each saw six graduate. Baseball (3), men's golf (2), volleyball (2), softball (2), women's basketball (1), gymnastics (1) and women's tennis (1) round out UF's graduating student-athletes.
