WTEN: Marrit Boonstra Garners Second Team Academic All-District Honors

The University of Florida's Marrit Boonstra (Groningen, The Netherlands) was voted to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 3 Women's At-Large Second Team, compiled and released by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.
A junior on the Gator women's tennis team, Boonstra's work in the classroom has resulted in a 3.43 GPA, as she pursues an undergraduate degree in economics. On the court, Boonstra currently is ranked No. 8 in the country in singles and has a team-best 34-9 record this season entering the second round of the NCAA Singles Championships. She was a unanimous first-team All-Southeastern Conference honoree this year, playing the No. 1 singles and doubles positions.
