Urban Meyer Launches Official Twitter Page

University of Florida head football coach Urban Meyer has joined the world of social networking with the announcement of his official Twitter page at www.twitter.com/CoachUrbanMeyer.
Fans can get up-to-the minute updates on the Florida football program by "following" Coach Meyer's feed. A free Twitter account is not needed to read the updates, but individuals who create their own profiles can receive instantaneous updates on their computers or cell phones using a variety of applications.
Twitter is a free, casual, online social network that is designed to connect businesses, organizations and individuals. Each Twitter post (or "tweet") can be received on the web or on a user's cell phone via text. More information is available at www.twitter.com.
The University Athletic Association is exploring the possibility of additional Twitter feeds for the department, with more information to come.
