Gator Gymnastics Team Unveils 2010 Schedule
Monday, July 20, 2009 | Gymnastics
The University of Florida's 2010 gymnastic team schedule was released today, unveiling the tough but exciting competition the Gator gymnasts will face next spring.
More than half of the teams the Gators will face in 2010 advanced to last season's 12-team NCAA Championships' field, with five of the teams proceeding to the 2009 NCAA Super Six team final.
“This is a very challenging schedule, as we face all of the teams that advanced to last year's NCAA Super Six. This will be great preparation for our team. We want to be among the teams that advance to the NCAA Championships. Of course, with the Gators playing host to the NCAA Championships in 2010, that goal will be ever present for us,” UF Head Coach Rhonda Faehn said. “We are excited to have the meet back in Gainesville – it will be a great event for both the teams and fans.”
