Former Gator Abby Wambach Plays in WPS Playoff Saturday

Former University of Florida All-American and Gator career goal leader Abby Wambach leads her Washington Freedom team (8-7-5) into Saturday's Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) playoff match versus Sky Blue FC (7-8-5).
The match, set for 4 p.m. at the Maryland SoccerPlex on Aug. 15, can be seen live on Fox Sports Florida.
Wambach leads the Freedom in their first season of WPS play with eight goals. Earlier this summer, Wambach joined the U.S. National team for a friendly versus Canada. She scored her 100th goal wearing the U.S. uniform, making her the ninth woman, and the fifth for the U.S., to score 100 career international goals. The 100th goal came in her 129th career match, giving Wambach the best goals-to-games ratio in U.S. history.
The winner of Saturday's Freedom-Sky match advances to play at Saint Louis Athletica in the WPS Super Semifinal on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 7 p.m. ET.
