Tebow Earns SEC Player of the Week Honors

University of Florida senior quarterback Tim Tebow (Jacksonville , Fla.) has been named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Tebow led the Florida offense to their school-record tying 12th-straight victory on Saturday against Troy. He accounted for five of UF's eight touchdowns in the 56-6 win and matched a career best with four passing touchdowns to three different receivers. Tebow has completed a touchdown pass in 30 straight games, the longest active streak in the nation.
Tebow completed 15 of 24 passes and totaled 237 yards through the air, marking the 20th time that he has passed for over 200 yards in his career. He also added 71 yards and one touchdown on the ground. It was Tebow's 45th career rushing touchdown, tying him for third in the SEC record book (Carnell 'Cadillac' Williams, Auburn, 2001-04).
The Gators host Tennessee on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET in the SEC-Opener for both teams. The game will be aired live on CBS.
